The first place we went in August was to Athens, Georgia to help celebrate Meredith's Uncle Richard's 30th birthday. We had a great time and got to meet a lot of Lauren and Richard's friends in Athens, and take Meredith up to Lauren's work and let Lauren show her off. Meredith really had fun at the party - she ate lots of watermelon and discovered that she likes coolers and ice. She stood there forever, playing in the coolers and taking the lid on and off and picking pieces of ice out. She did have a nice dress on, but we took it off so she wouldn't get watermelon on it. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only picture I have from that party, I think I was too busy helping Lauren that I didn't even get a picture of the birthday boy!

We went over to see Bill and Faye Aycock at their condo in Gulf Shores, and they had their grandson Price with them. We enjoyed visiting and going out to eat with them at the always delicious Sea 'N Suds. Meredith, however, did not like standing on the bench and looking out over the beach, as you can see from this picture!
Before we knew it, it was football season! Labor Day weekend was the first Auburn game. After missing three entire football seasons, Todd is finally back in his element, and he was all fired up to get there that day. Here Meredith is experiencing her first Auburn tailgate with her Daddy, in her adorable Auburn cheerleader uniform that Uncle Dave and Aunt Joanna got her.

The birth of our nephew, Prather McConaughy Reaves!

Prather gave everyone a scare, because his heart rate was erratic during labor and indicated he was in distress. They decided to do a C-section, which was good since the umbilical cord turned out to be wrapped around his neck. The doctors acted quickly and it did all turn out well, and he is a healthy, happy boy!

We also spent some of Labor Day weekend in Montgomery seeing my parents. Meredith and Nana Huff spent some time out by the pool
We lived with the Reaves while we were looking for a house. Meredith and Papa Reaves had so much fun on their walks outside. It is her favorite thing to do.
My mom and dad kept Meredith another Saturday so Todd and I could go to a game together. Auburn lost, we got sunburned, and our van was sideswiped, so all in all, not such a great day. We have yet to take our car out to tailgate again. (By the way, that is not our car behind us).
Todd went to New York for a week for work in September so Meredith and I spent that week in Montgomery. Here is Meredith in the Bear School Library (where Nana works) having lots of fun.
Aunt Lauren came to see us while we were there too, and she and Meredith had fun playing in the pool.
